NHS Art Festival
ART FESTIVAL AT THE NEW HORIZON SCHOOL

Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red – the spectrum that we got to witness all around the New Horizon School, Suqayya campus on the 21st January 2023. Our vision and mission was to display our students` creative aspirations and passion, as well as to provide them a platform to share their dedication and inspiration. Since creativity and ingenuity do not exist in a single form or media, our exhibit at the Art Festival featured student work from a variety of genres, including music, dance, visual art, and more.
Over 30 professional artists from all over Bahrain had graced the event with their presence and ultimately changed the atmosphere of the entire school’s celebration. We had professional artists such as Mr. Niju Joy, Mr. Tejbir Singh, Mr. Hareesh Menon, Mrs. Pallavi Jain, Mrs. Anju Sivadass, Mrs. Rajeswari Padmanabhan, Mrs. Shahira, Mrs. Nishida Faris, Mrs. SriRajeswari EM Muralidharan, Mrs. Aathira Chandran, Sindhu, Ms. Maryam Khamis, Mrs. Latha Manikandan, Mr. Vinu, Mrs. Sunnu Nithesh, Ms. Ayana Shaji, Ms. Devika Manoj, the Navi Sisters, Mr. Ahsan Zulfiqar & Mrs. Anandi, Ms. Jaseera, Mrs. Sandra Nishil had made our vision a reality by actively participating in the painting festival. An Art Gallery was set up to inspire budding artists.
Our celebration of art grew ten-folds when great veteran artists such as Mr. Shubho Sarkar and Dr. Mohammed Atta Madani were present throughout the event duration to inspire our children, teachers and parents. Their words of wisdom and esteemed presence added a lot of value to our endeavour. We had the District 20 Toastmasters Club Growth Director, DTM Yaser AlQashar grace us with his presence and leaving with a great impression about the school and its proud patrons.
Our two visionaries, Mr. Joy Mathews and Mrs. Vandana Sateesh envisioned a dream and Team NHS turned it into reality by putting their hearts, minds and souls into bringing it to fruition. As a school, we look forward to curating more such programs and we extend this invitation to all the people of Bahrain to join us in our endeavours.

The New Premises at Zinj
The Management is delighted to inform that the New Horizon School has won the
official tender of Al Ahli Club School Building, a spacious and convenient new
school campus site situated in a strategically placed and convenient location in
Zinj.
The New Campus will be functional in a phased manner pertaining to approvals
from various ministries tentatively from the beginning of 2023.
The New Campus will have upgraded classrooms, Large Multipurpose Sports Hall,
Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Sports Grounds, labs, library, music rooms, in
addition to other amenities.
We have a vision to make NHS as the best CBSE school in Bahrain from the
coming academic year and the new campus plays a critical role. The management
is investing a substantial amount to acquire this campus and renovate the
facilities to provide the best experience to Our children before moving in. This is
in addition to the investments in the ongoing renovations at Saquyya Campus as
well as the technology upgradation.

Together, we have lot to achieve, together we will provide the best schooling
experience to Our children.

NEW LEADERS OF TOMORROW SWORN IN- NHS INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2022-`23
11th June, 2022 was a remarkable day for the New Horizon School as the new elected Students Council Members promised to work with dedication and perseverance for this Academic year. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr.Jiju Varghese, one of the most renowned faces and voice in the world of media and entertainment in Bahrain. Other dignitaries included Mr.Joy Mathews, one of esteemed member of NHS school management and Mr. Shamnad Shamsudeen, The PTA President of the school. They all shared their words of wisdom and advice with the leaders of tomorrow and felicitated them. The School staff & parents supported and encouraged the students to take up their new roles as school leaders. Mrs. Vandana Sateesh, Vice Principal of NHS praised all the students for coming forward and taking up the challenging roles and applauded them as they pledged to wave the NHS flag high & take the school to new heights.

A prayer dance was performed by the students wherein they seeked the blessings of God before making their mark on this very important journey of their life. The Head boy Divyaansh Bhullar, Head Girl Swastika Patil, Assisstant Head Boy Abdullah Haneef, and Assistant Head Girl Avisha Peter were invested by the Chief Guests. Sports Captain Hartik Saran and Assistant Sports Captain Dishita Hate were inducted by NHS Physical Education Faculty, Mr..Eligius Fernandes and the Four house captains and their assistants were invested by the house wardens and various committee student members were inducted by their teachers in-charge.

The Head Boy with other young leaders took the Oath which is a solemn promise, to diligently perform their duties and surpass all the previously set benchmarks and set new goals for the future.
It was a proud moment for the parents and school to induct the new members of the student council. The elected student council also included the representatives of various classes & the kindergarten Head boy & Head girl were also badged with a sash of honour. The program ended with a Vote of Thanks by the Election Officer Mrs. Jessica Fernandes of the NHS Student Council.

The Management extended its best wishes to the New Student Council.

Admission

Admission is open to all nationalities with first priority to Indian Nationals and those who prefer Indian curriculum (CBSE, New Delhi). Our main intake of children is in March since the Academic Year starts in April. New admissions take place during January – March for the new Academic Year. The second intake is in July – August for the Second Term in September.
